Also known as “RP” in the barn or “Red Pony”, RP is a lovely prospect/project for someone looking for a sporty package. RP is a total in-your-pocket type, who wants to be with people.

RP is just started under saddle and confirmed walk, trot and canter. He has three correct gaits, and gives a lovely floaty soft feeling under tack. He loves to go to work and is developing a great work ethic. He has his own propellor but does require a bit of a kick as he is still very green and does not yet know the subtleties. He is being sold as a prospect/project for someone who wants a very neat athletic partner.

He has been free jumped and shows a good step and cute technique. Every time he has gone down, he has gotten fancier and tighter in his front end. He shows bravery down the chute as well.

RP would excel as an all round type, and could go into eventing, jumpers, working, equitation, or dressage. With time, he could be a great amateur or junior horse.

He stands for the farrier, loads, is barefoot and currently lives outside in a field of geldings. At this time, he has no maintenance. He does have a superficial scar on the back of his left pastern that he got at his breeder’s place.

Also known as “Panda” in the barn, Panda has all the pieces to be an amazing partner for someone in a prospect package. While green for her age, she is ready to pursue any direction.

Panda has three quality and correct gaits, and as her strength and flexibility improves, shows promise for a big loose trot. She has started her lateral work, and has a green change. On the flat, Panda is uncomplicated and is settling into the contact. Over fences, Panda demonstrates a pleasing picture and has competed to the .85m and 2’3 hunters at Varenna and Rocky Mountain Show Jumping. She has a good step, her own engine, and is keen to the fences. Best of all, she does take a joke. Panda has hacked out in groups, and is starting to school cross country. She has had no problems with ditches or banks.

Panda has excellent ground manners, standing quiet in the barn for grooming, mane pulling, clipping, farrier work, etc. She currently lives outside with other horses, and has been exposed to farm equipment, animals, and children.

She could excel in a career of straight dressage, show jumping, hunters, or eventing.

Despite her age and gentle nature, Panda is green, and not suitable to beginner rider. She does get worried if someone balances or bounces on her mouth. A home where she could be finished off would be best, whether that is with an amateur or a good riding junior in a program, or for a professional that wants to develop a quality animal.

Panda has no vices. She has a ‘look’ that if you call out, does not amount into anything (she pushes into your leg and might ‘jump’.) She does not spin, bolt, or buck.
